Docente da Universidade Aberta desde 1998, inicialmente no Departamento Humanidades e desde 2010 no Departamento de Educação e Ensino a Distância, onde leciona em cursos de graduação e pós-graduação, e orientando projetos de pós-doutoramento, teses de doutoramento e dissertações de mestrado. É investigadora integrada na UID-FCT n.º 4372, Laboratório de Educação a Distância e eLearning (LE@D), colaborando em projetos, nacionais e internacionais, e participando na organização de eventos científicos. Ao nível da investigação, interessa-se pela Educação Aberta, jogos e aprendizagem móvel, metodologias de investigação, Formação de Professores e TDIC em contextos educacionais.
