Between 8 January and 12 February, the 1st edition of the MOOC “Programming and Robotics in Pre-school and Basic Education” took place, with almost 1,300 registered participants. Coordinated by LE@D researchers, the course is part of the KML II Project, a partnership between the Open University, the University of Minho and the University of \u00c9vora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For five weeks, primary and secondary educators and teachers from all over the country actively participated, sharing knowledge and experiences in the KML II MOOC Community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The course, based on connectivist and socio-constructivist approaches, promoted collaboration and sharing between participants, resulting in thousands of interactions in the forums, on the Wall and in the Community studios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Given its success, the coordinating team is studying the possibility of a new edition, with information to be publicised through the KML II Project’s channels. More details about the project and the MOOC can be found at https:\/\/www.nonio.uminho.pt\/kml2\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n
