Ana Mouraz Lopes has been Assistant Professor at the Portuguese Open University (UAb) since 2019 at the Department of Education and Distance Learning. She has a PhD in Educational Sciences in the speciality of Philosophy of Education, a Master’s in Educational Sciences and a degree in Philosophy from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra. She is an integrated researcher at the Laboratory of Distance Education and eLearning (Le@d) of the UAb and a collaborator researcher of the Center for Educational Research and Intervention (CIIE) at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto.
He has led several funded research projects on teacher education and innovation, such as the ReKINDLE+50 project on veteran teachers and IT challenges; DIGIQUALGENDER, about teachers who promote digital literacy as a strategy for gender equality; Multidisciplinary Observation of Peer Teaching (OPMUSA), among others. Currently, she is part of the team of the Portuguese partner of the European Network of Educational Policies for Teachers and School Leaders (2019-2023) and the team of the national project (funded by FCT) entitled Fifty Years of Teaching: factors of change and intergenerational dialogues (FYT -ID). Recently, Ana Mouraz participated as a member in the ISCH COST Action IS1307, NETWORK, entitled: New Materialism: Networking European Scholarship on ‘How Matter Comes to Matter’ (2014-2018), as well as other ERASMUS-funded projects such as the Tuning Asia-South East / TA-SE project” (2016-2019); Management for Successful Schools”; in other projects financed by FCT, such as “MAEE – Devices for change in Schools and General Inspection (2018-2022); Self-Assessment of Schools: Relevant Self-Assessment Procedures for Basic and Secondary Education (2016-2017); and in other projects financed by other entities, such as EDULOG – Education Observatory (Belmiro de Azevedo Foundation). Ana Mouraz co-led the School Life Observatory (belonging to CIIE-FPCEUP, 2011-2018); and developed consultancy work for four schools that are Educational Territories of Priority Education (TEIP) from 2009 to 2018.
Her research interests are associated with Curriculum Studies, Pedagogical Supervision; Teacher training; Institutional Evaluation and Higher Education Pedagogy, which are also the topics of his publications.
