Eva Morais

Eva Morais is a researcher at the Mathematics Center CMAT (UTAD Campus) and holds a PhD in Mathematics Applied to Economics and Management. She has taught Statistics and Experimental Design courses at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro since 2000. She is part of webPACT, a group in which she developed an interest in using teaching strategies that promote critical thinking in her students. Her research interests are financial mathematics and the development of critical thinking in higher education.
Her principal and current line of research concern the experimentation of learning strategies to promote critical and creative thinking in higher education students. She works in multidisciplinary teams dedicated to constructing or validating instruments to assess skills and dispositions of critical thinking for the Portuguese population.
