Maria Katherine DiBenedetto holds a Doctorate in Educational Psychology: Learning, Development, and Instruction from the City University of New York. She also has two master’s degrees, one in Psychological Counseling and the other in Psychology, from Teachers College, Columbia University. DiBenedetto is an associate member of the Association of Educational Therapists.

She has published over 30 books and articles on students with disabilities, motivation, and self-regulated learning. In addition, Dr. DiBenedetto has over 30 years of experience in working with high school, undergraduate, and graduate students. Dr. D. has presented at conferences nationally and internationally, conducted professional workshops for teachers, and served as a consultant to book publishers, ACT, and federal grant agencies nationally and internationally.
